~ The Result of Cynicism ~

when you both argue and he's wrong, you would apologize because you just wanted things to be smooth again between the two of you?

That pretty much exemplified the relationship that I had with my ex-fiance. HE spent the nearly three years that we were together telling me that I had to stand up for myself, assert myself, not let people walk all over me.

When I started doing it to him, he left me for another girl - one who would aquiesce to his bidding - and told me that "God told him to do it." That was over a year ago.

I finally sent him the email that I had been wanting to send for the past 16 months:

"God told you to cheat on me.

That's funny, God spoke to me too. He told me that I deserve BETTER."

Being "a bitch" has never felt so good.

I deplore when a woman apologizes just to smooth things over. Say you are sorry if you are. If you are not, dont. Just look me straight in the face, and calmly say "We are going to have to agree to disagree. And in the future, if you want to know more, just ask."

I think you will eventually find balance between your two yous.

Good luck!

I can connect so much with this post! I know exactly how it feels and I also know how it feels to treat someone differently just 'in case' he's like all the others. I just had to say that I've been here too and that I understand :)
Thanks for the feedback and for sharing your story also. I look forward to reading some of your blogs also.

Blog ya later!
